depressed-manRecent scientific studies in China and the UK, published Tuesday in the journal Molecular Psychiatry, have uncovered a new link between depression and hatred.

“The brains of depressed people hate incorrectly,” reports Amanda Macmillan of CNN Health. It appears that three regions of a depressed brain – collectively called the brain’s “hate circuit” – do not process feelings of hatred in a normal way.
