Cruel & Unusual

Redefining the phrase “cruel and unusual punishment,” 1950‘s Soviet scientist Vladimir Demikhov sliced a puppy in half, then grafted its upper torso onto the neck of a larger dog. He then dragged the poor animal around to medical shows, where it was poked at and prodded daily until its death six weeks later.

You can actually see the suffering in both dogs eyes – especially the puppy. It hurts to look at the poor thing. Inflicting this kind of pain on animals is sociopathic and inexcusable, no matter what the reason. This brand of science, we can do without.
